Marex, a Scandinavian brand since 1973
Founded in 1973 in Grimstad, Norway, by Eyvin Aalrud, Marex — a contraction of the Latin words “mare”, meaning sea, and “rex”, meaning king — has enjoyed an outstanding reputation for over 50 years.
Its success is built on exceptionally high standards at every stage of production, resulting in boats of remarkable quality, superbly designed and supremely comfortable.
Each model in the range, which now spans from 31 to 44 feet, delivers a true sense of space, strength and safety that is highly appreciated by families. The numerous awards won year after year further confirm Marex’s position as the “King of the Sea”.
A legendary canopy system
Designed to provide fast and effective protection from the elements while making life on board easier, the canopy system is one of the most iconic features of Marex boats.
Unlike traditional systems, which are often complicated to operate and visually intrusive, the canopy allows the cockpit to be opened or enclosed in under a minute, with minimal effort: the protective covers simply slide into two discreet integrated lockers on either side of the cockpit. The roof, mounted on tracks, also offers excellent modularity.
This system perfectly reflects the Marex philosophy: giving families the freedom to cruise in all seasons, without compromising on quality of life on board.
