Marex, the new boat brand distributed by Merveille Nautic
Since April 1st, Merveille Nautic is the new exclusive importer and distributor of Marex boats for France and Monaco. After a first partnership with Windy in 2022, this new alliance allows Merveille Nautic to offer a second brand of beautiful Scandinavian boats, and Marex to intensify its development in the exceptional environment offered by the French coastline and its many islands.
Founded in 1973 in Grimstad, Norway by Eyvin Aalrud, Marex – a Latin contraction of “mare” meaning sea and “rex” meaning king – has enjoyed a remarkable reputation for 50 years. At the head of the family business since 1989, his two sons, Espen and Thomas, both experienced sailors, carry on the legacy every day with excellence, passion and respect.
Marex boats are fantastic boats to live on and are unanimously appreciated by all those who sail with their families, in summer and winter. The Norwegian brand has developed an innovative solution that allows the cockpit to be completely open or, on the contrary, to be protected from the elements in less than a minute, offering its passengers the possibility to sail whatever the weather conditions.
